About

About

I am a board-certified general psychiatrist who works with adults 18+. I am originally from New Jersey, where I completed my undergraduate degree at Rutgers University and then attended medical school at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine. After graduating, I completed my psychiatric residency at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU).

I am now based in Portland, Oregon, where I see patients throughout Oregon and Washington virtually. I am also able to meet with local patients in-person if needed. Outside of my personal practice, I continue to treat patients in the hospital setting.

Approach

I have experience diagnosing and treating all mental health disorders, but focus primarily on anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and ADHD.

I also have extensive experience working with LGBTQIA+ patients.

In modern psychiatry, many patients are prescribed unnecessary psychiatric medications. Numerous additional factors that contribute to a patient's mental health are often ignored, such as an individual's lifestyle and their environmental exposures.

Through both my training and personal experiences, I have learned that the western approach to mental health is often too focused on symptom management as opposed to understanding and treating root causes.

I am committed to working with patients to find their minimum effective medication dosage, as well as addressing any other factors that may be impacting their mental health.

Insurance & Fees

I am an “out-of-network” provider and am not currently contracted with insurance companies. This allows me to spend more time with my patients and ensures treatment decisions are made by patient and physician rather than insurance companies.

Fees are due in full at the time of scheduling. Upon request, I will provide invoices for patients seeking reimbursement from their insurance company or FSA/HSA.

Fees:

Appointment fees range between $200-500 depending on appointment type.
